WebOur Optimised Retrofit (OR) project, funded by the Welsh Governments Optimised Retrofit programme, is doing exactly this. With housing stock here in Wales, and elsewhere in the UK, being hugely inefficient and vast, the project is showcasing an approach to decarbonisation and energy efficiency that has huge potential for scalability. Web1 day ago · Retrofit measures will be assessed for each home, and may include the fitting of insulation, heat pumps, battery storage, solar panels, and ‘smart’ home controls and sensors. The homes are expected to approach Net Zero carbon for their whole energy footprint as the grid decarbonises in future.
