The data used in this study are collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb. WebbIt has only recently become possible to study VBS in detail thanks to the high energy and the high number of proton-proton collisions created by the LHC. Vector boson scattering has many striking characteristics including the presence of two widely-separated jets with a large invariant mass.
